INJUSTICES

I have long since known that this world is filled with these injustices. However, I was so utterly naive as to the extent of these injustices; and this troubles me so. Somehow, I got caught up in an idea that this world was getting better and most people were attempting to right the wrongs of the past. This, I found it surprisingly untrue! Especially, our government, if you live in the US.

Several Over the past few weeks, I have been troubled in regards with the injustices of this world. years ago, the United Nations decreed that Austria make a formal apology to the Jewish peoples for their part in WWII; and they were to refund all that was taken during that time as well. Not too long ago, the US government issued a statement to the "Southern States" for their formal apology to the African Americans, for their part in slavery.

Now, all of this is fine a good, but it should not stop there! There were many other states that had slaves, where is their apology? However, there is still one very important apology that has yet to come forth. I feel this apology is the most important to this date, probably in history! That, my dear brothers and sisters is the apology to the NATIVE AMERICANS!

Not only should there be an apology issued, but there needs to be some sort of restitution! I am not talking about the casinos that the government so conveniently thinks makes things all better. I am talking about the giving back of the land. I am talking about no longer taking the Native children away to "educate" them else where. I am talking about giving the Native Peoples the same basic human rights due to every citizen of the US. That means health care, housing, jobs -- every thing without discrimination!

Although, my personal family unit has never been close, there is always something I will remember since childhood; and the is the saying "You can't have it both ways". I think our government has forgotten a few things. When the US needed a code that was undetectable by other countries, where did they get it? The Native Americans! When they needed guides in this new land up to the Civil War, where did they get it? The Native Americans! When it came a time when the US government needed to issue the draft for Vietnam, did they say that the Native Americans could not go to war for this country because they were not American? NO! The US government has manipulated every thing to their advantage and to hell with the rest!

Instead of the white man coming across the big water and trying to learn from others, they just decided it would be easier to take what they wanted. Now, look at the shape this country is in; not only in the government, but look at what they have done to Mother Earth! All of these hurricanes, floods, wildfires-this is Mother Earth's way of telling all of au the she is tired of being raped!

Up until a few weeks ago, I thought many people were aware of the injustices to the Native American. I was wrong! And I am so very terribly sorry! I even mentioned to a dear friend that I was so ashamed of the white in me! The friend told me not to hate it but learn from it, and that I am to teach others about this great injustice. It has been very difficult for me to over come the anger I bear, and at times it still tries to surface.

For those of us who are associated in any way with the pagans of the world, I am sure you have heard the prophecy
that our children will be the ones to change the public views that have been around since the "burning times". I SAY, LET US NOT WAIT AND LET OUR CHILDREN FIGHT THIS FIGHT FOR US. LET US DO IT NOW. IT HAS BECOME THE TIME FOR ALL OF US TO RISE UP AND LET THE GOVERNMENT KNOW THAT WE WILL NO LONGER STAND IDLY BY AND WATCH WHILE THEY TAKE OUR CHILDREN AND OUR RIGHTS AWAY FROM US.

This is my vow, I will post this blog on every site I am a member of. I will let everyone I come in contact with know just where I stand. I will no longer sit back and watch. I will do whatever I can do in my power to raise the awareness of this situation!

Hi Lady Shaman, I find myself deeply concerned over your frustration. I believe it right to acknowledge the injustices done to all humanity, but keep focus on the light that continues to shine forth no matter how bad things have been, are or may become. The aborigine people world wide have had it much worse than most, but this is changing. In Canada they have had land returned, been compensated financially (however meager) and in one court case that I know of personally, won a lawsuit regarding an airport that was built on their stolen land and had it returned with proprietorship. If we continue to focus on love and light, all that is right will be forthcoming. Illuminate the darkness with love and the dark will have no bearing. May Mother Earth fill you with energy.
